Kymijarvi II gasification plant

The Kymijarvi II plant located in Lahti, Finland, is the world's first gasification power plant that runs purely on SRF.

It produces 50 MW electricity and 90 MW district heat and is fueled by eco-gas.

SRF is turned into gas with CFB technology in a gasifier supplied by Metso, then cooled and cleaned.

This clean product gas is fed into a boiler to produce steam for the steam turbine.
